CRM Setup
Yes! smrtPhone works as a standalone platform if you don’t have or want a CRM. That said, our deep CRM empowerment is what sets us apart – connecting your CRM gives your people and AI agents the full context, memory and follow-up that make conversations land. We recommend a CRM, but we work without one.
smrtPhone works with major CRM platforms including Salesforce and Podio, alongside many other partners. We also support dozens of custom CRM setups built on these platforms, and we add new connections on a regular basis – we welcome your suggestions for the next one!
Every CRM is slightly different, but the first step is always to start a free smrtPhone Trial. During sign-up you choose the CRM you use, and we’ll give you step-by-step instructions for connecting the two.
Yes! If you start with one CRM and later move to another of our partners, you can easily unplug and reconnect smrtPhone to your new account. Reach out to Support and we’ll help you make the switch!

Pricing
smrtPhone pricing is a subscription + usage, pay-as-you-go model, so you only pay for what you use. Our smrtPhone Pro subscription includes unlimited users, which means one monthly subscription at the account level, no matter how big your team. Learn more here.
smrtPhone is purchased at the account level. smrtPhone Starter includes 1 user, smrtPhone Standard includes 10 users, and smrtPhone Pro allows for unlimited users. We intentionally don’t charge per user like most of our competitors, because we recognize that teams have all kinds of people – some part-time, some who only need limited access.
We don’t offer an unlimited plan because we think it’s important for you to know exactly what you’re spending to run and service your conversations. Most providers that offer unlimited plans are either banking on unused usage or hoping you don’t read the fine print and charging exorbitant fees. With smrtPhone, you never get a surprise bill.
Usage comes out of a shared credit balance for your entire company. You pay a subscription fee to give all of your users access to the platform, and usage covers things like call minutes, outbound text messages, call recording and storage, compliance fees, and taxes.
No. Your people can run calls and texts in smrtPhone without being in your CRM, which can cut costs on the CRM end and keep sensitive information limited to the users with the right credentials. Every conversation those users have is still synced to your CRM, so you keep a clear and complete view of your customer relationships. It’s a real win-win!
