PhoneBurner alternative
The PhoneBurner alternative that dials four lines and texts
PhoneBurner is a single-line power dialer with its own CRM, workflow automation, cadences and email, sold at $165 a user a month on the entry plan and $215 on the top one. It dials one number at a time on purpose - the whole product is built around connection quality rather than dial count, and it is rated at up to 80 contacts an hour. Three things decide it against a four-line dialer working an investor pipeline: it is one line, texting only appears on the $215 plan, and of the investor CRMs only GoHighLevel is a native integration. Everything else is a Chrome extension, Zapier or the API.
No card required. No seat minimum.
The short version
- PhoneBurner is $165 a user a month on Standard, $195 on Professional and $215 on Premium, or $140, $165 and $183 billed annually. A smrtPhone seat with the four-line dialer is $119.
- It dials one line at a time, rated at up to 80 contacts an hour. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection.
- Texting is Premium only, at $215 a user a month: 1,000 outbound segments, then $15 per further 1,000. Every smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments, then $0.02 a segment.
- Native CRM integrations are Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Close, monday.com, SugarCRM and GoHighLevel. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape connect through a Chrome extension, Zapier or the API instead.
- ARMOR, the spam monitoring and remediation everyone dialing at volume ends up wanting, is an add-on on every plan and its price is not published anywhere.

What it actually costs, with the arithmetic shown
One person dialing all day and texting their follow-up, on monthly billing. Both vendors publish these figures. Texting is what moves PhoneBurner up its own price list, because SMS only exists on the top plan.
| Line item | PhoneBurner | smrtPhone |
|---|---|---|
| Seat and dialer | Premium, $215 a user - dialer included | smrtPhone seat $29, plus smrtDialer Multi Line $90 |
| Dial lines | One at a time | Up to four, with AI voice detection |
| Calling | Unlimited, included | 500 minutes, then $0.03. Unlimited at $99 a seat |
| Texting | 1,000 segments, then $15 per 1,000 | 1,000 segments, then $0.02 a segment |
| CRM | Its own, included | Yours, native to ten |
| Spam remediation | ARMOR add-on, price not published | Included in the seat |
| Monthly total, one person dialing and texting | $215 | $119 |
The honest qualifiers, both ways. If you do not need to text, PhoneBurner starts at $165 rather than $215 - still above $119, and still one line. Going the other way, their seat includes unlimited calling where ours includes 500 minutes and meters the rest at $0.03, so past roughly 3,300 minutes a month you want our $99 unlimited seat and the gap narrows to about $50. And the ARMOR add-on is not priced publicly, so neither column can account for it.
Both figures are published list prices. PhoneBurner quotes $165, $195 and $215 a user billed monthly, or $140, $165 and $183 billed annually, with SMS on Premium only and add-ons unpriced; smrtPhone is $29 a seat monthly, or $24 yearly, with smrtDialer at $90 for up to four lines, or $75 yearly.
The other side
When PhoneBurner is the better choice
PhoneBurner is one line by design, not by limitation, and for regulated outbound that is the point rather than a gap - its verticals are financial, mortgage, insurance, political and solar, where a multi-line dialer is a risk somebody has to sign off. The number to weigh: calling is unlimited on every plan, where a smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes and meters the rest at $0.03. Its seat also carries its own CRM, cadences, workflow automation and email, so a team with no CRM at all gets the whole stack on one bill, and ARMOR handles spam flag remediation as a product rather than leaving it to you.
- You are dialing in a regulated vertical where one line at a time is the compliance position.
- Your callers are on the phone all day and unlimited calling beats metered minutes.
- You do not run a CRM and would use theirs rather than buy one.
- Connection quality and answer rates matter more to you than dials per hour.
- Your CRM is Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Close, monday.com or SugarCRM.
Why investor teams pick smrtPhone instead
-
One line was not enough list
PhoneBurner dials one number at a time and rates itself at up to 80 contacts an hour. An acquisitions desk working a bought list is trying to get through thousands of records a week, and four lines with AI voice detection is a different rate of work. If your list is small and your calls are long, their maths is better; if the list is the job, ours is.
One to four lines, from $50 a seat -
Texting was on the top plan
SMS only appears on Premium, at $215 a user a month, and overage is $15 per 1,000 segments. For a team whose follow-up is mostly texts, that means buying the most expensive plan to get the second half of the job. Every smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments at $29.
Texting in every seat -
The CRM was not one of the seven
Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Close, monday.com, SugarCRM and GoHighLevel are native. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not - those run through a Chrome extension that follows along as you dial, or through Zapier, which is a connector to maintain rather than a call written to the record.
Ten native CRM integrations
Built into the CRM you already run
Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions land on the record they belong to, with no connector in between.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port. The thing to plan is the CRM: on PhoneBurner the record lives in its own CRM and syncs out, so decide what you want kept before you move, then wire your own CRM here and let the calls and texts write to it directly.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
How much does PhoneBurner cost?
Three plans, billed monthly: Standard at $165 a user, Professional at $195 and Premium at $215. Billed annually they are $140, $165 and $183. Calling is unlimited on all three. Texting is Premium only. The Numbers, ARMOR and Connect Scores add-ons are not priced publicly. smrtPhone is $29 a seat a month, or $24 yearly, with smrtDialer at $50 for a single line or $90 for up to four - so one person dialing four lines is $119.
Does PhoneBurner dial multiple lines?
No. It dials one number at a time and rates itself at up to 80 contacts an hour, and that is a deliberate product position rather than a missing feature - its verticals are financial, mortgage, insurance, political and solar, where multi-line dialing is a compliance question. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, which suits a bought list rather than a regulated one.
Does PhoneBurner send text messages?
Only on the Premium plan, at $215 a user a month. That includes 1,000 outbound segments and unlimited inbound, with a further 1,000 at $15, and it needs A2P 10DLC registration like any other sender. A smrtPhone seat includes SMS and MMS with 1,000 segments a month at $29, then $0.02 a segment, written to your CRM record alongside the calls.
Does PhoneBurner integrate with Podio?
Not natively. Its native CRM integrations are Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Close, monday.com, SugarCRM and GoHighLevel. For anything else, including Podio, it offers a Chrome extension that follows along as you dial while you update the record yourself, or Zapier, webhooks and an open API. smrtPhone is native to Podio and nine other investor CRMs, and the call and the text write to the record without a connector in between.
Is smrtPhone cheaper than PhoneBurner?
Yes, on the seat. $119 for one person dialing four lines against $165 for PhoneBurner Standard on one line, or $215 once you need texting. Two honest qualifiers: their plans include unlimited calling where we include 500 minutes and meter at $0.03, so a full-time caller should price our $99 unlimited seat instead, and their ARMOR add-on has no published price so neither estimate can include it.
