CallTrackingMetrics alternative
The CallTrackingMetrics alternative for small teams that dial
CallTrackingMetrics - which now trades as CTM, at ctm.com - is a call-tracking platform that also dials. Its Sales Engage plan adds a softphone and a Smart Dialer that handles busy tones, no-answers and voicemails for the agent, so this is not a page about a missing dialer. It is about where that dialer starts and what it connects to. On CTM, dialing starts on a $329-a-month account plan, every minute and text is metered on top, and an integration directory of about seventy reaches no investor CRM except Left Main, through Salesforce. smrtPhone puts call tracking in every seat from $24 and the four-line dialer on the same seat from $50.
No card required. No seat minimum.
The short version
- CTM can dial. Its Smart Dialer, on the Sales Engage plan, automates outbound calls and handles busy tones, no-answers and voicemails for the agent.
- Sales Engage is $329 a month per account, or $274 billed yearly, plus usage. Marketing Lite is $79 and Marketing Pro $179 monthly, with unlimited users on every plan.
- Every minute and text is metered: $0.04 a forwarded local minute, $0.031 outbound, $0.027 on the softphone plus agent connection fees, and $0.016 a text plus carrier fees. A smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes and 1,000 text segments.
- CTM publishes no line count for the Smart Dialer. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection.
- Its directory lists about seventy integrations, deep on ad platforms and analytics. Of the investor CRMs, only Left Main REI is reachable, through Salesforce.

The other side
When CallTrackingMetrics is the better choice
CTM is the deeper product for marketing and for large teams. Attribution into Google Ads, Local Services Ads, GA4 and Data Studio, form tracking, AskAI call analysis, agency sub-accounts and white labelling, VoiceAI, and about seventy integrations including Zapier and Make, which smrtPhone does not offer. Its plans are priced per account with unlimited users. Its Capterra profile is 4.7 from 159 reviews. If your team is a marketing department or an agency rather than a desk working a list, CTM is built for that shape of work.
- You are an agency or marketing team reporting attribution into the ad platforms.
- Form tracking and multi-channel attribution matter as much as calls.
- You need Zapier or Make, which smrtPhone does not offer.
- You run a large contact-center team on one account.
- Your CRM is Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho or Dynamics rather than an investor stack.
If attribution is the whole job
CTM goes deeper on attribution than we do. It reports calls into Google Ads, Local Services Ads, GA4 and Data Studio, tracks and attributes web forms on Marketing Pro, runs AI call analysis with AskAI, and gives agencies sub-accounts and white labelling. smrtPhone tracks calls at the campaign level - a tracking number per campaign, swapped onto your site by page or UTM tag, with each call credited to its campaign - in every seat. For an agency or marketing team measuring ad spend across channels, CTM is built for that.
We are the alternative for a small team that needs to know which campaign rang the phone and then work that lead: dial it on up to four lines, text it, and write all of it to an investor CRM, without buying a contact-center plan to get there.
Why small outbound teams end up somewhere else
-
The dialer came with a contact-center plan
On CTM the Smart Dialer lives on Sales Engage, $329 a month per account plus usage. For a team of two or three that mainly needs to work a list, that is a contact-center plan bought to reach one feature. smrtDialer is an add-on to the same $29 seat - $50 for a single line, $90 for up to four - and only the people who dial pay for it.
Dialer from $50 a seat -
Every minute and text was metered
CTM bills every call minute and every text on top of the plan: $0.04 a forwarded local minute, $0.031 outbound, $0.027 on the softphone plus agent connection fees, and $0.016 a text plus carrier fees. A smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes and 1,000 text segments before anything is metered.
500 minutes and 1,000 texts included -
The CRM was not in the directory
CTM's directory is broad - about seventy integrations, deep on ad platforms and analytics - and its CRMs are Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, Dynamics 365, LeadSquared and a handful of vertical tools. Left Main REI is reachable through Salesforce; Podio, GoHighLevel, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not there.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port, including tracking numbers - move them and assign them to DNI campaigns so they keep crediting their sources. If CTM's ad-platform reporting is what your marketing team lives in, keep it for that and run the calling and texting here.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
Does CallTrackingMetrics have a dialer?
Yes. CTM's Smart Dialer, on the Sales Engage plan at $329 a month per account plus usage, automates outbound calls and handles busy tones, no-answers and voicemails for the agent. CTM does not publish a line count for it. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection as an add-on to a $29 seat, at $50 for a single line or $90 for up to four.
Is CallTrackingMetrics the same as CTM?
Yes. CallTrackingMetrics now trades as CTM, at ctm.com. The plans, the Smart Dialer and the integrations are the same product under the shorter name.
How much does CallTrackingMetrics cost?
Marketing Lite is $79 a month per account, Marketing Pro $179 and Sales Engage $329, billed monthly, or $65, $149 and $274 billed yearly; Enterprise is $1,999 a month. Usage is billed on top: local numbers at $2 a month, $0.04 a forwarded local minute, $0.031 an outbound minute, $0.027 a softphone minute plus agent connection fees, and $0.016 a text plus carrier fees. smrtPhone is $24 a seat a month billed yearly, or $29 month to month, with call tracking, 500 minutes and 1,000 text segments in every seat.
Does smrtPhone do call tracking like CallTrackingMetrics?
Yes, at the campaign level. Dynamic number insertion is in every smrtPhone seat: add your site in the dashboard, install one script, and create a campaign per tracking number, narrowed by page or UTM parameter, so each call is credited to the campaign that produced it. CTM goes deeper on attribution itself, reporting into Google Ads, Local Services Ads, GA4 and Data Studio, with form tracking on Marketing Pro.
Does CallTrackingMetrics integrate with my CRM?
Its directory lists about seventy integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive and Microsoft Dynamics 365. For investor teams the nuance is Salesforce: Left Main REI is built on it, so CTM reaches Left Main that way. Podio, GoHighLevel, InvestorFuse, DataSift, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not covered. smrtPhone is native to all ten, in every seat.
