Aloware alternative
The Aloware alternative with no user minimum
Aloware makes the same argument we do - that the calling belongs inside the CRM - and for a HubSpot team with five or more reps it is a serious product, with unlimited agent minutes and texts, a power dialer and AI call analysis in the seat. The difficulty is getting in. Its entry plan carries a ten-user minimum and the two above it five, so a three-person acquisitions desk cannot buy a per-user plan at all; it lands on the $199-a-month startup package, where the whole account shares 500 minutes and 500 texts. And of the investor CRMs, only GoHighLevel is on the list.
No card required. No seat minimum.
The short version
- Every per-user plan has a minimum. iPro is $40 a user a month with a ten-user minimum, uPro $70 with five, xPro $100 with five. Annual rates are $30, $60 and $85.
- A team under five buys a startup package instead: $199 a month for up to three users or $399 for up to five, priced per account rather than per user.
- The startup package shares 500 minutes and 500 texts across the whole account. Three smrtPhone seats include 1,500 minutes and 3,000 segments between them.
- The unlimited minutes and texts on the per-user plans are agent-dialled traffic. Automated calls and texts are metered - 2 to 4 cents a minute and 1 to 2 cents a segment - plus pass-through carrier fees of half a cent to one and a half cents on every segment.
- Thirteen integrations are named: HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho, Zapier, Clio, Guesty, Gong, Facebook, Slack, Calendly and Cal.com. Salesforce is on the top plan only.

What it actually costs, with the arithmetic shown
Three people, one of them dialing a list, on monthly billing. Three is the size where the comparison is real: it is below every Aloware per-user minimum, so the startup package is the only way in, and both vendors publish that figure.
| Line item | Aloware | smrtPhone |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | 3-user startup package, $199 an account | Three smrtPhone seats at $29 - $87 |
| Dialer | Included | smrtDialer Multi Line for the one who dials - $90 |
| Calling minutes | 500 a month, shared across the account | 500 a seat - 1,500 between them |
| Text segments | 500 a month, shared across the account | 1,000 a seat - 3,000 between them |
| Phone numbers | Up to 5 US local numbers included | 1 a seat, then $2 to $5 each |
| CRM | HubSpot, HighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho | Ten native, including the investor stack |
| Monthly total, three people with one dialing | $199 | $177 |
That is the three-person comparison, and three is the size where it is real - it is also the only shape Aloware will sell you at that size. It reads differently at scale: from five reps up, their per-user plans give unlimited agent minutes and unlimited agent texts where a smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes and 1,000 segments and meters beyond that, so a floor that dials all day should price both properly rather than read this row.
Both columns are published list prices. Aloware quotes $199 a month for up to three users and $399 for up to five, with per-user plans at $40, $70 and $100 monthly above minimums of ten, five and five; smrtPhone is $29 a seat monthly, or $24 yearly, with smrtDialer at $50 for a single line and $90 for up to four.
The other side
When Aloware is the better choice
Aloware is the closest product on this site to ours in intent - calling and texting that live inside the CRM rather than beside it - and past five reps its economics are different from ours. Agent minutes and agent texts are unlimited on the per-user plans, where a smrtPhone seat includes 500 minutes and 1,000 segments and meters beyond that, so a floor that dials all day pays a flat rate there and a metered one here. It builds directly on HubSpot data, with dynamic lists, workflow actions and rep activity inside HubSpot reports. And it sells local presence dialing, at $300 a month, which smrtPhone does not offer at all.
- You have five or more reps, so the per-user plans are open to you.
- Your CRM is HubSpot and you want dynamic lists and workflow actions.
- Your team dials all day and unlimited agent minutes beat metered ones.
- You want local presence dialing and are willing to pay $300 a month for it.
- Salesforce is your system of record and the top plan is within budget.
Why smaller teams pick smrtPhone instead
-
They were under the minimum
Aloware's entry plan wants ten users and the two above it five. A three-person acquisitions desk is not a smaller version of that customer - it is outside the sizes the per-user plans are sold in, and the startup package is the only door. smrtPhone sells one seat at $29 with no minimum, and only the people who actually dial pay for smrtDialer.
One seat at $29, no minimum -
The allowances were shared, not per seat
The $199 package gives the whole account 500 minutes and 500 texts a month. Three smrtPhone seats include 1,500 minutes and 3,000 segments between them, because the allowance travels with the seat rather than the account. For a team whose follow-up is mostly texting, that is the difference that shows up in the first week.
1,000 segments in every seat -
The CRM was not on the list
Thirteen integrations, and the only investor CRM among them is GoHighLevel. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are all absent, and Salesforce is on the $100 plan. smrtPhone is native to all ten from the $29 seat.

What switching actually involves
Numbers port. The thing to work out first is your volume: if your team genuinely dials all day, Aloware's unlimited agent minutes are worth more than anything on our side, and the honest move is to price both before you move rather than after.
- Port your numbers. They move with you. Nobody has to learn a new number.
- Connect the CRM. Calls, texts, recordings and dispositions start writing to the record.
- Rebuild your call flows. Routing, ring groups, business hours and the DNC applet.
- Run both for a few days. Then move the dialing over once the logging looks right.
How long the port really takes
- Porting takes one to three weeks once the paperwork is in and confirmed. It is faster when your current provider sits on the same underlying carrier we do, and slower if the paperwork comes back rejected over a detail that does not match your carrier record.
- Support does the work. You start it from live chat and the team handles the submission.
- Do not cancel your old provider until the port completes. Your number keeps working throughout.
- Occasionally voice ports a few hours before texting does. It settles by itself.
Questions people ask before switching
How much does Aloware cost?
Three per-user plans billed monthly: iPro at $40 a user with a ten-user minimum, uPro at $70 with a five-user minimum, and xPro at $100 with a five-user minimum. Annual rates are $30, $60 and $85. Below five users you buy a startup package instead, priced per account: $199 a month for up to three users or $399 for up to five. Local presence is a $300 a month add-on and numbers are $4 to $6 each. smrtPhone is $29 a seat a month with smrtDialer at $50 for one line or $90 for up to four, and no minimum.
Can I buy Aloware for a three-person team?
Only as the $199 a month startup package - every per-user plan is above your size, with minimums of ten, five and five users. The package includes the uPro feature set but not its unlimited usage: the whole account shares 500 minutes and 500 texts a month. Three smrtPhone seats are $87, include 1,500 minutes and 3,000 text segments between them, and you add the dialer only for the people who dial.
Is Aloware really unlimited?
For agent-dialled calls and texts on the per-user plans, yes - those are free for US and Canada. Automated traffic is metered separately: outbound calls through automations run 2 to 4 cents a minute and texts 1 to 2 cents a segment depending on plan, and every SMS also carries a pass-through carrier fee of half a cent to one and a half cents. On the startup packages nothing is unlimited; you get 500 or 2,500 minutes and texts a month.
Does Aloware integrate with Podio?
No. Its directory names thirteen integrations - HubSpot, Salesforce, HighLevel, Zapier, Pipedrive, Clio, Zoho, Guesty, Gong, Facebook, Slack, Calendly and Cal.com - and GoHighLevel is the only investor CRM among them. Podio, DataSift, Left Main REI, InvestorFuse, Realeflow, Invelo, Carrot and Tape are not there, and Salesforce needs the $100 plan. smrtPhone is native to all ten from the entry seat.
Which has the better dialer?
They are built for different shapes of list. Aloware's power dialer starts on uPro at $70 a user with a five-user minimum, and comes with AI transcription, summaries and sentiment analysis in the same seat. smrtDialer runs one to four lines with AI voice detection, voicemail drops logged to the CRM and unlimited leads and campaigns, at $50 or $90 on top of a $29 seat, with nobody else on the team needing to pay for it.
Is smrtPhone cheaper than Aloware?
At three people, yes: $177 a month for three seats and a four-line dialer against $199 for their three-user package, with three times the minutes and six times the texts. From five reps up the shape changes: their per-user plans carry unlimited agent minutes and texts where ours are metered, so a floor that dials all day should price both properly at its own size.
