What is your current title or position:
Support Team Leader
What are your new responsibilities?
Since my last smrtie profile, I haven’t only become a team leader, but I’ve also been coordinating logistics such as the team’s shift calendar, the transfer of information to and from the support team, and quite a few more fun-for-me activities such as creating reports and automation.
What are you most proud of, or what is the most interesting project you’ve worked on since your last smrtie profile?
I’m proud of the relationship I developed with my team—we’re friends and we trust each other. It’s so comforting to know that people always have your back at work and especially in real life, even if we don’t hang out that often due to the distance.
Do you have any major life updates?
I moved to Bucharest by myself to chase my dream of becoming a musician. I went to see Polyphia live in Milan and The Weeknd live in Milan as well. I joined a band, performed in front of 4000 people in one of Romania’s biggest venues, met the love of my life, started singing lessons, visited Paris, started digitally producing music, visited Vienna, and here I am now. It has been one hell of a ride so far!
What is your favorite smrtPhone Feature?
It’s so easy to forget that smrtPhone actually brings compliance features and updates before almost every other phone system. smrtPhone does this so that our users can avoid paying big fines from the FCC or the carriers or even avoid being sued for accidentally calling/texting a DNC/DNT number.
Did you get any new pets? Tell us about them!
I didn’t, but my girlfriend has a black cat, which I’ve come to also love. She’s almost 3 years old and very playful, and even though she gets overstimulated very quickly and scratches, we’re now good friends.

How long have you worked for smrtPhone?
Since April 2021.
What’s your background?
I learned about this job from Tudor, who I’ve known for almost 10 years. When he approached me, I was in school studying geography. I considered it to be my passion at the time, but maybe not any more. There are not that many professional options with geography, especially in Romania.
I always imagined I was going to do my own thing – start a business or something where I can be the boss. And maybe I still will someday. But when Tudor approached me to see if I was interested, it seemed like a really great opportunity.
Now, I’ve taken a gap year from school to focus on this position.
What was your first job?
My first job was a mailman, delivering the post. That taught me the basics of having a job and taking work seriously. When you’re at work, you have to be professional and do your job properly.
I learned I have quite high standards. I don’t like doing things just to be done; I like to do them right. I have a strong work ethic that I’m proud of.
What do you like about working for smrtPhone?
I never expected to make such great friendships with the people here. I was expecting to just work and be done, and then repeat the routine the next day. That’s it. But every day is different, and I’m still making new friends. Everyone here is actually great. I’m enjoying my time.
I don’t feel like I have to put on a costume or anything before I start work. I can just be myself.

Reliable. User-Friendly. Affordable.
Is there a particular moment/project at smrtPhone that stands out and makes you feel proud?
One of my favorite projects was the team building event where we brainstormed how to evolve smrtDialer. We all contributed a lot of great ideas. I can’t wait to see them come to life. Seeing my ideas and my colleagues ideas come to reality… and then seeing all of our users enjoying what we thought of – that will be really satisfying.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a bit of a homebody but when I do go out, I like to go on road trips or play pool or go bowling with friends. I like to watch TV and play video games. I have been looking for a new hobby and was thinking maybe learning lock picking would be fun.
I have a cat, Oscar. I was never a cat person until I had one. I’ve had him for about 6 or 7 months. Every day I find him sleeping in a new position. He’s funny and sweet.
Name something that is on your “bucket list”
I would love to go skydiving, and I want to go see the Northern Lights.
What is a fun fact people might not know about you?
I am surprisingly persuasive. I am good at convincing people people to do things. I don’t trick people into doing bad things or for my own interest like money or big stuff. But when it comes to the little things, I can soften people up really easily. I can sweeten them and get them to change their opinion.
